Is there anything you can do with old computer CDs and those ones which come free with newspapers? DH think he's keeping them for ever but I have other ideas (well, I don't which is why I'm asking you lot)
There must be something I can do other than throw them in the bin. I don't really want to use them as coasters or dangly mobiles either

Good for people that grow fruit/veg hang em up to scare the birds!

You know what, I have been racking my brains to think what can be done with them.
I am a beaver scout leader and I keep thinking that there must be something or some activity that we could use the cd's for.
I will be following this thread and hope that I get a good idea from it.

it was scrumptious and not as scary as I thought it would be

makealist · 13/08/2007 09:46

Trinityrhino...what happens when you microwave them? I'm too scared to try without knowing, how long do you do it for?

scootergrrrl...umm..no thanks

elasticbandstand · 13/08/2007 10:04

there must be a recycling bin for them, there is for books so I am sure there is

chestnutty · 16/08/2007 22:19

I take them in to school to make hoovercrafts.
Glue a sports bottle top with a hot glue gun.
stick a blown up balloon(untied) on top and let it go.

chestnutty · 16/08/2007 22:20

Glue on to over the central hole of course!

try freecycling them (www.freecycle.org)-you are bound to have some takers!

glass paint is pretty on the shiny side of coasters, as a craft activity for beavers/brownies etc. They can then be given as coasters for Christmas presents.
