Eco-friendly hair products that actually work??

I'm doing my best to move me and my family away from harsh chemicals, plastic, etc. but struggling to find any hair care products that actually work!

Any suggestions of what I should check out? I have fine, dry hair - so need moisture without weighing it down which seems to be hard to get.

Ideally want something that's eco-friendly packaging & production and made in the UK if possible.

Faith in nature shampoo and conditioner are lovely and do an extensive range for all hair types. An eco friendly shop in our town does refills for the bottles too.

I have fine dry hair too - and swear by a apple cider vinegar "conditioner" after using bar shampoo. I just dilute ACV into a spray bottle and massage into my hair after shampooing and then rinse out. It can also be used as a rinse or detangler. My hair has never been better!

Beauty Kubes and Lamazuna might be worth a try.

I have just started using Soap Nuts shampoo which is LOVELY, you don't need conditioner with it, so that saves on the plastic bottles, annoyingly it IS in a plastic bottle though. I also use essential oil 'waters' instead of a dry shampoo to add bounce when my hair needs washing because I wash it every 4 days approx.

BUMP- Im gonna make it more complicated.

I need eco-friendly suggestions for black hair- specifically 4a-4b. Short length.

The products I have are organic but in plastic packaging.

I second Beauty Kubes, mine is fine and prone to greasy roots. I use the green one.

I really love Ethique solid shampoo and conditioner. You can get them from Holland and Barrett and they have many different types for different hair types. I use St Clements shampoo and Wonderbar conditioner, both for oily hair.
