Knickers?

I'd like to buy pants that aren't made in sweat shops. Any suggestions?

I do have a couple of pairs of Thunderpants, but frustratingly they seem to have none of my size in stock at mo.

Thank you! Wish they wouldn't use the word 'panties' tho (shudder)

These are very expensive knickers. Not many ppl would be happy paying these prices unless they had plenty of excess money.

Mardybum on Facebook are supposed to be very good. I haven't managed to brace my wallet, yet.

I just bought some from the H&M conscious range £8.99 for a pack of 3

Organic Basics look good

MoreNougatThanCougar · 19/12/2018 15:31

Mardy Bums are the most comfortable pants I've ever worn! And no sweatshops involved :)

I also have a question about knickers under the ethical living heading. Hope it's ok to raise this on your thread. Mine is how do you dispose of them when they are worn out and holey. Put them in the bin after wearing or wash them and put them into rags recycling. It's bothered me for years.

picklemebaubles · 19/12/2018 20:45

I was them and put them in the rag bag.

Sinkingfeeling · 19/12/2018 20:46

Wash, then fabric bag for charity shop. I don’t see any difference with other fabrics like towels or shirts.

KarBB · 25/12/2018 14:55

I like Thought clothing and Patagonia pants. They are expensive but I hope they will last years!

abbsisspartacus · 25/12/2018 14:58

Can you just donate stuff for rags? My washer eats clothing occasionally seems a waste to slang them forth when they could be used

zozozoo · 06/02/2019 11:31

Some charity shops get money for bags of stuff they can't sell it goes by weight. So I guess if you tell them it's rubbish upfront they can just sell it off that way (without digging through bags of someone's old pants, grim!) and still get money for the charity, though who knows where it goes then...

KarBB · 06/02/2019 21:16

I put in the textile collection bins they have dotted around near where I live. If they are in good condition a charity shop might take them - they definitely accept bras.
