Easy switches

Hi. I'm pretty good with recycling, have moved to soap bars instead of liquid soap, buy big pots of yoghurt etc and decant, rather than individual ones, have a lidded cup at work to avoid using the paper ones (and am going to start taking one with me when I know I'll be buying coffee out too).

What other easy switches could I start making?

Carry a water bottle, some cutlery in a pencil case and cotton hankies/napkins.

At home try to use cloths/rags more than paper napkins. Buy fewer cosmetics, toiletries in general. Cut out/down on takeaways.

Thanks. I'd forgotten about this!

We don't use paper towels, although I do still use tissues. I already carry a water bottle in the week - must start doing it at weekends.

Takeaways - we've reduced these and tend to eat out instead now, but will certainly keep this one in mind.

Thanks again.

Think about cleaning products (spray and cloth rather than Flash wipes, for example) and personal hygiene products (bar soap rather than shower gel)

Buy fewer clothes, look at where they are made, consider buying second hand / vintage and donating clothes you don't wear anymore

Already use spray and cloths - and most stuff is Ecover when I can afford it!

Already do bar soap.

I buy lots second hand and do a wardrobe cull/charity donation every three months or so. Aim now is to buy less and better quality and generally to replace something dying rather than 'just because'.

Thank you. :)
