plant based hand cream

I am trying to cut down on artificial chemicals etc and move to more plant based potions. I have always used E45 cream and just tried the faith in nature's hand cream but it wasn't strong enough and now my hands are cracked and sore. I have found some sudocrem under the sink for now!

Can anyone recommend a good solid more eco hand cream. There are plenty of brands in big green smile but I can't tell what will work and they are about expensive to start ordering more that don't work.

I use coconut oil on body and hands and almond oil on face and hands too. It's nice to get away from the harsh chemicals.

I've just posted this on the coconut oil thread too. Smile

Ah good cross over I will have a look, it always seems to come down to using less products. We seem to have been sold alot of different stuff we don't need.

That's it. Big money making scheme that's all it is. Makes me feel better having less stuff and clutter in general. Simplify where possible I say.

Burt's Bees, they have several types, the strongest is called hand balm, I think.

Weleda skin food!! It's amazing!
Burts bees are owned by a chlorine chemical company so I question their ethics. Weleda are a bit for profit 100% natural, ethical and mostly organic company.

Clarins? They are plant based but not sure if they do hand cream.

Shea butter based creams are really nice, although I find they work best if you put them on before bed so they have time to really sink in. I like this one www.laughingbird-bodycare.co.uk/product/shea-cocoa-butter-hand-cream-with-geranium-lemon-120ml/

The only thing I use is lotil hand cream amzn.to/2PFbXdp it really really works even my hubby who’s a builder uses it but I’m not sure about eco friendlyness Hmm

I keep recommending this company. They're U.K. based and make some really great affordable natural products. Www.naturallythinking.com. Oils are great but with dry skin you need to replenish with a cream not just the oil. Creams have water/moisture which helps the dryness. I use the base creams they sell and add my own essential oils. They have a ready made range too but I've not tried any of those. Their packaging could be better as it's mostly plastic but they wrote a recent blog saying they are working on it :)

Not sure if this is the right type of thing but what about Body Shops hemp hand cream? I've used it and like it. I like the smell but it's not for everyone Grin

Try using natural aloe vera as your hand cream. My wife use it, and her hands is so soft.
