I've only used my car 4 times in the last 6 weeks thanks to finally investing in a Kangaroo Bike. I have two children (3 and 18 months) and was obviously elated at the birth of my second child but disappointed that I had to ditch using my bicycle (my only form of exercise) to get around because you just can't carry two kids on a conventional bike. I knew about these bikes from my parents who lived in Holland and a guy in Cambridge now imports them. It has changed my life, I am at last losing a bit of post-baby weight, the kids love it and although it seemed expensive at the start, I don't have to put petrol in it, pay for parking and it's not polluting the environment! I can't speak highly enough of this bike. I hope to be back in my size 14 by summer!

Somebody else linked to these recently. They look great.

Paro, I notice this is your first post - you don't work for them, do you (or are you a namechanger)?

Christiania bikes have been making something very similar for many many years, but also designed for load carrying. Can't do links but here's the site www.christiania.org/bikesframe.html

Paro
That looks fantastic, good on you

How does it go up hills?

Spidermama · 24/03/2007 09:11

That looks great. I've seen the one which tow kids in a trailer arrangement and they look really unsafe, but these look much better.

You have to live somewhere without too many severe hills though I would imagine. Brighton is built on the South Downs and is very hilly.
