Heating Temperature

We have our thermostat set at 19 degrees, I have never felt cold but someone last night said they have theirs set at 25 degrees and we must be freezing! What do others have theirs at please?

Ours is set at 19 so heating comes on when it drops to 18.5 and goes off when it reaches 19.5 (I'm home all day and fairly sedentary due to ill health hence why it is set to come on as needed) and I'm perfectly warm enough but, we do have a mid- terraced well insulated house with no draughts etc..

Ours is set to 17.5 (comes on at 16.5 and stays on til 18.5) but it's only set so low because we are on heating oil which is fecking expensive. Also, we have an open fire and loads of free wood from our neighbour who owns a timber mill so when it's really cold we have that roaring all day which really heats the downstairs.

Ours is also around 19 degrees

18 normally but if I'm sitting still a long time I'll bump it up to 20 for an hour.
At 25 is have to strip off!

Mine is set to 17 and it's plenty warm enough. I think the size of the house affects how it feels as well. I have a small house.

18 in the daytime, 19 for when DD gets home from school and evening (she's yr 13 and so has to be sat doing homework) , 16 overnight. We work from home but 18 is fine if you wear sufficient clothes and aren't totally sedentary.

If the house gets to 25 in summer I'd have to be down to a vest top and shorts or skirt.

Ours is set to 19C overnight and 22C daytime. This is the highest I can cope with in the daytime, by DH is circulation impaired, so feels the cold more than usual.

21 all year around. Our home is super insulated though so it's really cheap to heat

18-20 - ours only comes on for a couple of hours in the morning then 6ish hours in the evening, it's off overnight.

15, but that's in hallway & individual rooms have own thermostats, so most rooms are around 17-18.

It's off all day because we're not in but timed to come on am and pm for an hour at 20.

18 most days. It usually gets turned down at night because after spending years living with a shite boiler, we can't actually sleep now if it's warm.

Heating oil is still the cheapest fuel per unit heat. All depends on boiler efficiency.

25 degrees is t shirt weather and no UK house should be set to that unless you really hate the next generation.
