Packed lunch packaging

My daughter takes packed lunches to school and I'm noticing how many plastic sandwich bags we're getting through.
My mum used to wash and reuse them but I would prefer not to do that as it's a faff and means there are always bags drying on the side.
Does anyone have alternative suggestions? I guess just something to wrap sandwiches in, as other stuff can either be loose in the lunchbox or I can use little pots.

Little Tupperware box

we use onya bags sandwich wraps - gingham material with a plastic lining that can be wiped clean every evening. we also use smash (i think, i'll google in a sec) containers that screw together for yoghurt and dried fruit. bit of a pain to wash, but better than daily yoghurt containers, and we'd still need something for the fruit.

We use fabric reusable sandwich wraps too.
Not to pricey on ebay

Just wrap them in cling film Confused

We use sistema sandwich boxes. Different colour for each person. They stop the sandwich getting squashed but are shallow enough to keep the sandwich held together. My kids put their other rubbish eg fruit peel inside the box afterwards to keep the inside of the lunch box a bit cleaner.

Just to say, I ended up buying an onya wrap. I was a bit put off by the price but hopefully it's a one off purchase! It's very easy to clean and I think dd likes it. And have found some screw top pots in my craft supplies which I can use for yoghurt etc. Thanks for the help :)

We use Beeswrap. Compostable after a year's use. Bloody brilliant.

dementedpixie · 15/10/2016 20:25

Also use sistema sandwich tubs

dementedpixie · 15/10/2016 20:26

Ds puts his yoghurt spoon in the tub afterwards

NuggetofPurestGreen · 15/10/2016 20:47

I used to just put my sandwich straight in the lunchbox. Is that not right?? Confused

NuggetofPurestGreen · 15/10/2016 20:48

In a Tupperware box.

TheSnorkMaidenReturns · 15/10/2016 20:55

We use sistema sandwich boxes - they last for years so no waste.

dementedpixie · 15/10/2016 21:26

www.amazon.co.uk/Sistema-Lunch-Sandwich-Pack-Assorted/dp/B003HIVAP6 - we use these multi coloured ones but got them from the supermarket

dementedpixie · 15/10/2016 21:26

Ds uses a lunchbag so we use tubs and then put them into the bag

SnugglySnerd · 15/10/2016 21:29

I also use Sistema sandwich boxes and put the sandwich straight in with no extra wrapping. Not sure why they need wrapping to go inside a container!

dementedpixie · 15/10/2016 21:31

www.wilko.com/food-boxes+containers/sistema-klip-it-container-200ml/invt/0332163 - use these for fruit like strawberries/grapes, etc too
