Anybody live VERY close to a wind farm?

It looks like a wind farm could be built on some moor land close to where I live. I have no objections to this, I support any measure that could mitigate the effects of climate change and I find wind turbines quite appealing visually which appears to be the main objection that my neighbours have to this development.

I've spoken to the wind farm developer at various public exhibitions, I've done a bit of research on the net but I have yet to speak to anybody that lives really close to a wind farm and would love to know how they have found the experience. Are the turbines very noisy, visually intrusive etc.

The nearest windmill to me is 200m and it is horrendous having to live next to it. We are finding it so awful that we have put our house in the market but where as the used to sell with in the week ours jhas been on for 6 months and no interest.
Unfortunaly I wish it was just the look of them that are putting people of my house but it isn't. The following are the main probs we are having but by no means the only:

Shadow flicker: this is caused by the blades blocking out the sun as they go round and it's linke having a strobe light in the living room and bed rooms.

The windmills give off a low frequecny vibration as they go round and over they past year they have shook the foundations of our house so that we have had to have the whole thing underpinned to try and stop the movement (not a cheap job). The vibrations are so bad if all the windmills are going (15) that you can see our dg windows shake.

As well as the virations they also give out a low frequency sound which has unfortunalty affected my son who is sensitive to noise changes. It has given him constant earache and headache and he is now on constant painkillers from the doctor until we move.

The hgv's that brought the w/m have churned up the road and caused raod blocks and delays which last over an hour and while we were told that his would only be until the w/m were up it is still happening once a week with out notice.

We have also had to get satallite put in as the w/m were interupting our t.v signal. The company was supposed to be paying for it but we have never been reinbursed as we were told..

Finally the comany that is responsible for our w/m promised us that they would set up a fund for local project but they have set the guidelines so high that it is almost impossible for any one to qualify..

While I agree that we need to find alternative energy sources I don't think that this is the way to go especially as the power company actually told us that they sometimes use more energy than they create.

I also agree that the pylons are ugly as well but at least they are static!
