Got ethics? www.facebook.com/cowspiracymovie/photos/a.224977341027129.1073741828.183622415162622/405131813011680/?type=1&theater - well worth a watch.

It's on youTube too

Everyone should watch this. If you care about the planet and environment then watch this. If you've even turned out a lightbulb to "do your bit for the planet" or pledged to walk more instead of drive in order to save the world then watch this.

How long is it?

Leaving this here for balance

I watched it and felt guilty afterwards, but what can you do? I know people who are vegans and they all seem to eat a lot of processed foods. I prefer to eat butter and cheese than margarine and substitutes, but I feel guilty supporting the dairy industry.

I avoid man made fibres, but I know that cotton is a huge drain on resources. I recycle, but I'm told much of that will end up in landfill.

I try to buy less, and I do buy second hand here and there, but it's quicker to order new.

There's always something more to do, but I suppose so long as we're doing our best, that's better than doing nothing. For most people, eating less meat is probably a more realistic goal than eating none.

DontFundHate · 02/09/2018 18:13

@Cynderella totally agree

gigi556 · 02/09/2018 19:18

@Cynderella I completely agree with you.

I just watched it based on this recommendation. I thought that the one guy he interviewed saying that meatless Monday was not a positive thing because people are still eating meat unsustainably for the other 6 days of the week was absolutely ridiculous! I mean I get that he's saying it's not enough and we need to stop altogether to make the drastic charges necessary but we do need to be realistic! Rome wasn't built in a day! We are trying to seriously reduce our waste and plastic consumption in my household and if I thought it was all or nothing I'd be no where. Meatless Monday's are a positive step in the right direction. If everyone gave up meat for just one day a week it would have a massive impact. Ludicrous!
