Well based on the greener living tips thread, I bought some Dryer Balls from Amazon. I'm expecting the drying times to be substantially reduced when I use the tumble dryer now. I hope I won't be disappointed.

Speedymama, I don't know where I read it, but, I seem to remember reading that if you put a dry bath towel in with your washing that that also reduces the drying time.

bump - anyone any experience of these?

speedymama · 20/11/2006 11:42

Well, I've used them and I am totally unconvinced. I have not noticed a reduction in drying times or in the amount of fluff produced.

I;ve heard about the dry towell reducing drying time, also a tennis ball help - what is it about balls?

speedymama · 20/11/2006 11:44

Radley, should have tried your method, it would have been cheaper.

The dryer balls are noisy too - all that bouncing around meant I had to close the door to the utility room for some peace.
