you do only get 1 point for each bag used - at my local one - which is pants really as I don't use bags for bulkier items!
next time they ask how many bags I've brought I'll just lie aobut it!
how sad is that to get more points?

Havent got a reply from tesco by email, but the lady on the till gave me 3 points for using one of those collapsible crates, 1 for using carry handle on pasta bag and 1 for a big bag... Had a look around and everyone at the tills around me had their own bags, which I hadnt noticed before. Doesnt take much incentive, huh!

you can get quite alot of points over a year if you reuse your bags - say 10 carriers a week = 500 points a year.

TBH I think you are being a bit petty to try and use small bags to get more points; just be happy that you can put your environmental halo on! I used old bags before the points incentive anyway.

or use boxes?

tescos usually have boxes, I find.

i carry cotton bags for unexpected/foot shopping

lol, shazronnieWEARINGSHOES, I wasnt says I would use so many just to get extra points! Just general wondering...
I have those wee nylon bags that fold up into a wee pouch, always in my handbag, but do bring out the big canvas ones when I actually plan to go shopping

I had "help" to pack today, I have started saying no when they ask if you want a hand, but I was still unloading and another assistant started bagging up for me. That is the most bags ever, multipacks of jucie cartons were bagged, pointless as you couln't carry them like that, lots of other stuff in half full bags.

I reuse a lot of bags and return the rest for recycling, but surely Tescos staff should be encouraged to use less the first time.
