Perhaps we'll give the organic one a miss, then. I find crowds very stressful. I think there's a vegan one in Gloucester sometime soon. I didn't pay much attention as I thought I was unlikely to go. Still, if it's after my driving test, and if I pass then maybe.

The people doing the aduki ice cream have a website but a lot of it appears as question marks (it's Japanese). I was hoping for a recipeSad

I AM AWAY!

I have been experinmenting with franny's flapjacks and (date and maple syrup) sweetened aduki bean paste in the past few hours...the combination is most winning.

I was just about to tell you about it! Great minds, eh?Wink
It's on dd2's birthday so I don't think we will go.
However, there is a Viva roadshow in Bath on 9th September. Also Swansea 5th August which might be better for you.

Fillyjonk, do spill the adukis - how are you making the sweetened bean paste? Tinned beans or home cooked (I always find they never get as soft as I like, no matter how many hours I cook them for)? Quantities? I don't seem to have much time for pure experimentation these days - any time spent in kitchen must be productive and make something likely to be popular with all (either that or I end up eating monotonously for a couple of days...)
