Does anyone make their own?

I've just taken a notion to try it myself, primarily to avoid all the chemicals which can build up in your blood or can cause irritations. Secondly to save a bit of cash. I found Liz Earle last year and hail the moisturiser as the only one which doesn't make my skin sting. However, it's £££ and not free of all nasty looking ingredients.

Currently I'm trying olive oil soap on both hair and skin. It's quite drying, so any tips on what I can do about that or try differently are very welcome. I found a link somewhere that suggested diluted cider apple vinegar as a hair rinse. It makes the hair detangle nicely in the shower but again I'm left pretty dry and frizzy after that.

Has anyone got any tried and tested things they use? The organic green-type stuff online is ££££ too.

I found the oil cleansing method very good for skin and definately doesn't dry my skin out. I found soaps, even ones made with lots of oils in them, still dry my skin.

You could try this link (hope it works)

There is also a method for cleaning hair that involves using no or very little shampoo with no sulphates in. I think it's called the 'no-poo method'. Try a search on MN or general google search. I haven't tried it properly yet but lots of people swear by it.
