My first thread on here! Grin

Has anyone used EcoBalls? And if so, are they any good?
I've used soap nuts before, but found they left brown stains on whites.

I used them a few years ago and found they were ok but my washing all got a bit smelly and grotty in the end. You need to be pretty sharp about drying the washing or it festers a little. I'd alternate between washing powder and eco balls if I was you.

And welcome to mumsnet! But watch out - it is addictive and keeps you on until odd hours of the morning. I've also found it does not do what it says on the box as I sometimes do mumsnet and ignore the kids - not good!

Maybe you have more willpower than me...

I've got some which I use occasionally if the clothes aren't very dirty.

Which? magazine tested them though, and found they weren't really any better than washing with just water.

Yeah I've read mixed reviews, but think I'll give them a try - although maybe not on exploding poo-soiled clothes!

I can see that how you could easily become addicted to mumsnet...!
