Recycling packaging (wool)

I have just received a delivery of frozen food and the packaging says it can all be recycled.
I know where to recycle the cardboard box. What I don't know what to do with is the wool which is used to keep the food cool as I don't think I have the ability to make it into balls of wool for knitting.
Does anybody have any ideas?

Could you stick it to the outside of the box and make it in a sheep?

COuld you use it as bedding for a small animal?

Restuff a soft toy.

Give it to a charity shop to give to their rag collector.

compost it if it is real wool?

Thanks, it is real wool that has been felted. I wasn't sure if it could be composted. Perhaps I'll make the cat a new bed.

Some companies that use this like to have it back to recycle. Could you return it to them next time?

Use it to mulch around fruit bushes or the like for slow release nitrogen? But maybe worth checking that it isn't coated in fungicides/fire retardents before doing that or composting (though I guess if its packed round frozen food it probably won't be).

If it's the original sheep's wool insulation, woolcool, then it doesn't have any fungicides or chemical additives so it can be composted or used to mulch plants, make pet bedding etc as has been suggested.

I sewed it together (with a fabric cover) and make warm jacket for my home brew Grin and then other bit was used to make a little jacket to go over my Thermos flaskWink.
