People who don't buy greetings cards

I don't buy greetings cards because I give a present, will send a text or say it when I see them. However what about sympathy cards? It's a hard time and I know when my brother died it was nice to know people we hadn't heard off in a while were thinking of us when they heard about it.

If you don't usually buy greetings cards do you send a card when someone dies or do you do something else?

I would usually phone and also send a card if someone has died, tbh. People will most likely keep the cards that people have sent as part of their memories of the person. It doesn't have to be a sympathy card, but I do think something physical is important.

I would handwrite a condolence letter. Even the shortest letter conveys a powerful message of how much that person mattered.

Rosebud Yeah I don't know if a phone call or email is enough in this case. Although you could keep the email if you wanted to as part of your memories.
