MRI with the NHS

Hello, I have been having some health issues for a while, but nothing impeding me from carrying out my life. The doctor has ordered mri scans to rule out other conditions.
I somehow feel I should cancel the scans, as maybe I am not as ill as I make it sound? And not being a burden to the NHS. I'm undecided. Help.

Doctors don't request MRI's for fun! You should have the scan.
Are you worried about the s can itself or what might be found?

Do not cancel that scan!
Doctors don't arrange MRIs for no reason, think of it like this, you sound like you have a good GP that is trying to rule out serious health issues so that you can get the correct treatment. Some people aren't as lucky and get fobbed off continuously until they present wth something really serious, despite telling their gp something wasn't right.
Please have the scan.

Is it really about that? Or are you very worried about the scan itself and the results and so you are minimising the symptoms.
Go. The staff will be lovely and then you will know more about what's going on.

Yeah, leave it a long time until your mild health problems compound into something really serious that costs a bomb to treat, surely the taxpayer will thank you.
Either you are being dumb or you have claustrophobia and a scared of an mri scan.

'Scans' is quite the thorough package there.

Maybe you should make a judgement based on numbers -
2 or under, fine.
3 -4, hmm have a think.
Over 5 - too expensive.

Does that help?
