Martin Shkreli, dubbed 'Americas most hated man' by BBC news was sentenced to 7 years in jail in 2016 for fraud. He is widely known for raising the price of a life saving AIDs drug from $13.50 to $750 per pill, overnight.

It has just come to light that the Valeant Pharmaceuticals have been quietly working behind the scene to appeal Shkreli's sentence and have invested millions in legal fees.

Shkreli could be now released in a matter of months.

Why not? What he did was wrong but I don't think he should serve a long sentence. Out on parole and some community service would seem a sensible alternative, let him see what the real world is like.

American prisons are overflowing with violent criminals, they should release a few of the non-dangerous ones and find an alternative to prison for their punishment and rehab.

What he did was terrible, however he did not go to jail for this reason, he went to jail for fraud.

Do you think it is OK to profit from sick and desperate people??
