Nightmare Neighbours

A year ago I moved into a house and live next to nightmare neighbour's. They have complained about the noise my then 2 year old makes, now he is 3.5 years. My son is big fit his age and is quite loud going up and down stairs (especially when he learnt to walk for obvious reasons), and sometime he resists has tantrums technically because of his age.

My neighbour's are very real-active and bang lousy at the same time as my son walks up the stairs or runs across the landing. Earlier they were bouncing a large ball at the wall (because my son said he wouldn't do a wee before bed).

They also nearly run him over the other day when they weren't looking where they were going, my son lost his shoe then ran to the other side of the road. All I got from them was a scorn while I ran to my child.

I have spoken to council about anti-social behaviour but because there are no threats etc, there is nothing they can do.

I am just putting this out there incase anyone has any ideas in how to manage this.

What have they done to make them be a nightmare? Sounds like them nearly running your son over was an accident due to him not being properly supervised when crossing the road. It's scary having a kid run out straight in front of you :(

Well, it's a long story. They were knocking on my door complaining about my son when he went through sleep regression which lasted 8 weeks, saying they have never heard anything like 'that'. There have been numerous things that have happened that are not called for. They are very re-active. Children cannot be controlled only worked with/disciplined.

As for the incident, my son was on the path. They were pulling out of their drive.
