Christmas gifts for carers

This is my parent's first Christmas since starting some at home care. I would like to get them each a small gift to say Happy Christmas but I have no idea what to buy. Thought this would be a good place to ask.

Any ideas?

Small box of chocolates. Some carers will not be allowed to accept anything more than that.

also include a card with a personal message of thanks. This means a lot to a carer.

I’ve been wondering the same. My wife has two carers twice a day. She has had over 30 different carers during this year.
I wondered about giving the two who come on Christmas Day a card with £20 in it. I’d probably do the same on New Year’s Day if it was different carers. Is this a good idea?

They won't be allowed to accept money.

It's not much but we've got several of the large tubs of Roses / Celebrations / Quality Street chocolates that mum's going to put out and invite them to take some in the days running up to Christmas and the New Year. And / or you could offer them some fruit (bananas, apples, easy peelers etc).

we have home carers for our sons and i normally buy something like a scented candle for the women and m and s tins of chocolate biscuits for the men .
Last year the women got fluffy socks. This year they are getting a christmas scented diffuser. Nothing more than 10 to 15 pounds.

We have never had them.refuse to accept them and a couple buy for our sons as well. They are all part of the family tbh and so we have mince pies and christmas cake on tap as well.IIf they are working the christmas period we try to make it as enjoyable as possible.

Please don’t give money they aren’t allowed to accept it. A box of biscuits / chocolates and a card is fine

Than you for the responses, i was thinking a box of chocolates and that seems to be a good idea. I also like the idea of having Christmassy snacks in the week leading up to Christmas. I am so grateful for all they do and wanted to express that.

Oh that’s so lovely of you to want to give them a gift. I used to be a community nurse and one of my patients bagged up a handful of roses chocolates and gave us all a bag, it was lovely.

Soap
Dried fruit ( eg from Walnut Tree)
Hand cream
Biscuits sweet or savoury
Tea selection ( fruit, herbal, earl grey etc.)

These are all really good ideas. I gave them to my parent so they can decide what to give but of course I'll be organising it. I'm so grateful for all the wonderful people, not just for the cooking but for the companionship they give. My parent can't drive anymore and they bring so much fun and variety into their life.
