Male Continence Pads

The Care Home my DU is in have suggested getting him some pants to try.

DA who is really quite sharp has pointed out that the ones I bought from Sainsbury’s are over £1 each.

Are there any good quality ones but cheaper? My worry is that she will discourage him from using them because of the cost.

Buy online. These are high absorption and work out as 59p per pair if you buy three packs at a time on subscription:

You might find slightly cheaper still if you google further.

Thank you @TryingAgainAgainAgain. That is really helpful Flowers

There is a £3.95 delivery charge, but once you know they suit him, a large order will offset that.

The large size pants work out a bit more as you only get 8 in a pack.

If he needs higher absorbency, these are a similar price:

Absorbency shouldn’t be an issue at this stage as he’s still going to the toilet, just doesn’t always make it in time due to age and bladder cancer.

Thank you as well @msbevvy. There is an Aldi near to the Care Home although it stresses me out every time I go into it. I will try the Aldis nearer to home first Smile

Good point - has he been assessed by the continence service?

Finding it really difficult to get a referral. The last GP did do a referral but then he moved to a Care Home and now it doesn’t seem to be happening.

If he has bladder cancer then I would have thought he’d be entitled to continence products from the NHS. Get DA to contact the GP again. Unless they’ve moved out of county then it should be the same Continence Service. A google search should show their local service. If he can get the products free then hopefully he’ll be allowed to use them.

@BunnyRuddington you can also get pads for men if that's what you are looking for. Boots sell them.
