My mum has recently been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s/vascular dementia. My two sisters and I care for her in her own home. She presently lives on her own with lots of daily help. I live half an hour away from her, in a different county. I have been looking for some support to help me emotionally and there are lots of opportunities but all seem to be linked to the region that the ‘patient’ lives in.
Any advice about where to look for local or online support with how to balance life emotionally.

You should be able to Google services for carers in your county. Your gp may also be able to signpost you to support. Does she have a social worker, they normally are able to sign post too. Other than that you have the various organisations like Age UK, Altzeimers society, Dementia UK, Admiral Nurses, whose websites would have a 'local to you' search facility. It's worth checking out your local community services and whether your local churches etc run dementia cafes or groups for carers.
