Does anyone have any particular recommendations for care buttons, ideally one that has a fall alarm as well?

I have a family member that has this one , they say its OK and easy to use but is very sensitive so can go off a bit to often. www.techsilver.co.uk/product-category/fall-alarms-elderly/

DFIL and DA & DU all gave the ones arranged through their local councils and all have been good. The DFIL and the others come under different Councils.

Council website is a good place to start but all the “careline” organisations offer pretty similar services, it often comes down to the deal on the day. I would always opt for a professionally monitored alarm, install a keysafe somewhere well lit (trying to locate a keysafe round the back of a shed in the dark and rain is a nightmare), make sure the owner knows it’s for any kind of emergency not just a fall, and PLEASE make sure they can hear the alarm centre calling them in the middle of the night if they accidentally set it off.

This but is so, so important. DFIL is Deaf so can't hear the call from the monitoring service. It's ok because he's quite close so going around isn't much of an issue but if we were further away it might start to overwhelm us.
