Constantly cold when it's absolutely boiling in the house

My Dad who has limited mobility (largely by choice/lifestyle) is constantly saying he is cold and is blasting out the heating, sitting with a heating blanket etc.
He was angry today saying he was 'freezing' in the night and wanting to have the heating on all night too.
It's hard to be in the house and he isn't cold to the touch but it's a complete nightmare for my mum.
Has anyone experienced similar and might it be a legitimate medical thing or is it more likely a MH thing or due to lack of moving.

We have a doctors appointment so it'd be good to be informed before we go.

Is he on blood thinners due to his heart?

My dad has felt the cold since going on these after his heart attack. He layers a vest, tshirt, shirt and a proper wool jumper nowadays which helps. He is good at getting out every day for a walk (has a big dog). The house is always boiling though.

My dad (a usually very active 75 year old, running a sub-35 minute Parkrun) experienced this a few months ago. Absolutely freezing even in 30C, multiple layers, several showers a day to try warming up. Also total exhaustion, not able to run, not wanting to do anything. Turns out he had anaemia. 3 months of iron tablets and a multivitamin and he's back to his old self almost. Not quite back to running at Parkrun, but back to volunteering. So I'd talk to your dad about going to the GP - his sedentary-ness might be related.

My husband was diagnosed of Parkinson’s Disease a couple of years ago, he had severe fatigue, difficulty with mobility and sleeping. He was placed on Sinemet 3 times daily, which helped but only for a short while. So we decided to try alternative treatment and began on PD-5 protocol , It has made tremendous difference for my husband, he had improved walking balance, muscle strength and he is now very active. His Parkinson’s is totally under control, we got the treatment from binehealthcenter. com. This treatment is a breakthrough for PWP!

My DF is 94 and pretty active still but feels the cold terribly, normally has layers on plus often a heater too. He's on 6 different meds so I wouldn't be surprised if it visit a side effect of one of those.
