Me again! Well my mums sisters (who haven’t seen her in 4 years and didn’t phone or visit when my dad passed) have really done it this time.

They phoned care home today, trying to find out how many times my mum gets visitors, how often I visit, what I bring her and what medication is she on and is she being sedated. Thankfully the care home has the sense to phone me and alert me. Has anyone else had this hassle and had a lawyer involved?

im an only child, almost had a breakdown and POA.

Sounds like the care home did not give them any information. Nor should they. Suggest you reiterate with care home that these people are not next of kin/ entitled to any such information, then do your best to ignore them.

They sound awful. Keep a note of date and time of this and any future incidences of harassment and if necessary talk to a lawyer ( if it continues).

Try not to dwell on it.

Not any experience of this I'm afraid, but I did wonder if having some sort of written evidence of your relatives asking for private info (e.g. email confirming this from the care home) might be useful, just in case, in the future?

Would the Care Home use a family password? So only people who can give the password get information?

No problem. It's used sometimes in Hospitals Flowers
