Anyone thinking of putting the heating back on?

Just that really. I'm live in for elderly parent, house is currently at 18°. Outside temps are forecast to be 15° for at least a week and it's currently 13°.

I was hoping to not order any more fuel until September/October, but I'm going to need it now, aren't I?

My parents live in the North East and have had their heating on in June. Breaks their hearts to do it in the Summer!

whether its oil or solid, gathering of fuel is a summer expense,
especially if we have consistently wet weather, stone or brick,
we don’t want a damp chilly dwelling
we had our heating on yesterday for a blast, one hour, midday,
if only to drive out the damp, rained overnight, drizzle, cloudy
today, no sunshine at all, 13deg or 15deg needs the option of
heating, no sun, no warmth,
we were in London yesterday in thin layers, cold and shivery!
this is Britain, mid summer, yet Saturday we were complaining
of the heat and bright sunshine,
but ! it could be worse, you could have flown to Carriacou
for a week’s holiday

Had the heating come on a few weeks ago. Set to 15C a present

I'm glad I'm nor alone, it didn't seem right in July, but I did put the boiler on yesterday. Definitely the right decision though, the house is now warm and today we have some sun, so hopefully it will hold onto the warmth.

Our heating kicked in yesterday in Glasgow. Bit depressing but is what it is.
