I recently bought some of these and I love them. They are great when eating or brushing teeth. They look like a normal damask napkin and can be washed at 60 degrees. It lives up to the name of 'dignified'. It's ages since I bought something I was so pleased with. Inspired by the 'things that make your life easier' thread, thought I'd start one here for those of us caring for elderly parents.

Other thing I'd recommend is this company for rise recliner chairs - family business and truly excellent service

For a seat cushion, I'd recommend smithhillman specifically the orthopaedic sea cushion. They used to do them in different firmness - firm (which is quite firm and good if you want extra support ontop of squishy sofa or something with give) and medium firm and I think a softer one. Looking at their website, I can't see those options but I've emailed them before to source a firmer one so maybe worth asking them if you want a different firmness or googling for other sellers of their products.

Keeps it's shape well, comfortable, supportive and has a removable washable cover. I like it as a product and would recommend it.

Some really helpful stuff on here, very useful thread. Now if anyone can give me the magic solution to getting my mum to accept using any of these things... 🙄

@Sittingontheporch Don't know if you've sorted something yet as your post was a couple of weeks ago, but Alexa show does what you have described. My DM loves hers. She has photos on one side (it scrolls through her favourite ones we have uploaded) with a clock (time, day and date). The other side of the screen is split into (I think) 6 sections which can be customised. DM has Weather, Calender (one that we have set up and add things to from our phones), Shopping list (she just says "Alexa add bread to my shopping list" and we can see it from our phones) and then "Sticky notes"

On the sticky notes we add little messages - "Thursday - JennyWreny will pick you up for doctors appointment at 1.30pm" "Don't forget to put the washing on" "There's a salad in the fridge for your lunch" - that type of things.

It's not perfect but it works well for us. You need the one with the big screen though to have enough room. It's quite £ but I honestly thing it has made such a big difference to DM that it was definitely worth it.

Having typed all of that I was going to post you a link but now I find that it has been discontinued. Maybe the smaller one would work if you didn't have the photos on it, just the notes. Or maybe they are available second hand on ebay. Here's the link anyway so you know what I was talking about!
