Medication reminder

Hi all

Looking for the most effective way to remind my mum to take her medication
She can be stubborn and get confused, even more so when she hasn't taken the meds
So probably looking for a clock that's not easily snoozed, where the reminder can be set daily, alarm doesn't switch off after short period, maybe gets louder etc
It can hopefully prompt my dad ( who also with ages is forgetting to remind her) but as she can sometimes get moody and reactive with him also be a central alarm to alert everyone in general

Thought it would be easy to find such an alarm clock....but no....

What about an Alexa echo or similar where you can set alarms with verbal instructions, remotely if needed? It has the advantage of general information: what is the time, weather, play radio 2 or whatever.

Alexa.

Or if the meds are in a dosette box or can't fit into the individual boxes then this is an alarm only

Does anyone know of any wearable devices that allow more than 8 alarms per day?

My mum needs to take medication 11 times a day. She currently has alarms on her phone but frequently forgets to have the phone with her, or can't find it.

She really wants something she can wear, like a watch, so that it can work if she's away from home too, but everything for medication seems to have a limit of 8 alarms.

Thanks so much, I'll suggest this to her!

We tried this with my Dad, both with a dedicated alarm clock then with Alexa. Both drive him batty. We ended up giving him his pills personally and watching him take them - it was the only way to make sure he took them but more importantly didn't take too many.

Get the pills done in a nomad at the pharmacy & could they wear a smart watch for reminders?

My DM (90) uses an echo dot - so Alexa really. She gets on well with it.

11 times a day is a lot - I would never remember that without an alarm!

is it possible for her to have a medication review to see if the number of times can be reduced?

Thanks all so much. I am a bit worried she'll just tell Alexa to stop if she's feeling stubborn/ tired!
But will take a look

It is a lot, but unfortunately they are regularly reviewed and are being split, not usually increased, to try and manage symptoms.

It is really hard. I would also need an alarm to remember that many times.
