Elderly parents

Can anyone recommend a book that really helped them get over the death of a parent?

I lost my lovely mum last Friday. She was very elderly, had a wonderful life and really, a peaceful, textbook passing away.

But I feel completely overwhelmed by grief - I thought I would be stronger and more pragmatic, but it's really hard right now.

I have a lovely family and we live very nearby, so we and our DCs saw her and my dad all the time, so all very close. I think this is what's making it so hard, as she's been such a huge part of my life for so long.

I just wondered if anyone could recommend a book on this type of bereavement that really helped them, or any tips in general.

I know it's meant to get better in time, I just didn't expect to feel this fragile.

So sorry.
There's a thread on the Bereavement board specifically for those who have lost parents:

I once heard a remark that parents are supposed to go first, that's the way round it's meant to be. That helped me when was losing my Mum, I could concentrate on looking after her as she left this life as she has helped me into the start of mine.

It's never the same though.
