What is the most absorbent incontinence product?

Hello, I'm looking for the absolute best incontinence product in terms of absorbency for a male with dementia. Using incontinence bed pads that save the sheets, I've ordered some trousers that are supposed to help with catching leaks but I'm looking for either tena type pants or those giant pads that will last more than a few hours at night. Does such a product exist? NHS incontinence referral going through but the products they provide aren’t always that great and limiting evening fluids. Any recommendations? My 4yo has SEN so still uses nappies too but these last all night, I just can't seem to find an adult equivalent for my dad. Many thanks.

I am sorry you are going through all of that. Maybe email tena directly?

MIL uses iD pants. Unisex. She has XS as only weighs 5st3lbs.
I have just tipped 600mls of water in fairly fast and even squeezing there is no leakage. We get ours through the Incontinence Advisor via district nurse.
ps I used a spare pair not the one she was wearing.
we also use a pea pad on the bed but she has never leaked.

We use Aldi's unisex for MUm and they are 8 pads for nearly £4 , what makes the difference is putting them on the right way and activating the crystals in the oads, by activating the crystals l mean folding them in half longwise & creasing them . They really are excellent , she never leaks even overnight but we do put 2 on her then tbh just in case . We can only use Aldi's which we pay for obviously because other products make her very sore , she doesn't have any skin problems with these but it is very much a trial and error . Good luck OP

Can you get in touch with the GP and find out if there’s a local continence service? We were able to access this and try out versus products to find the right combination without it costing a fortune

coodawoodashooda - thank you, I found a tena chart online that lists the absorbency, so I'm going to find the highest one and give those a go.
Trumpton - thanks, I'll have a look at the iD brand, they actually do pull ups that fit DD4 too. The mattress protector pad I bought is brilliant but is obviously getting soaked with leaks.
BlanketsBanned - thanks, I will look into slips too, maybe these would be better, the tena chart actually says these can soak up the most vs the pull up style products. The bed is set up with a protector pad, then normal sheet and normal mattress protector below that but the square pad is brilliant anyway and catches everything. So the mattress isn't getting ruined but it would be good if something could contain it all.
TheNewlmprovedMrsMadEvans - thanks, I'll look at these too, it's definitely worth giving everything a try!
JudgeRindersMinder - thanks, I've been emailed a form to fill out for the continence team with a drink and food diary etc, so I'm going to sort this tomorrow but it's a 10 week wait at the moment and a few local people have told me the stuff they supply isn't very good and only 4 products per day. So I'll need something until they deliver and probably extra long term.

Thank you, really appreciate all the advice everyone!

The protector pad is this www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07W7CCQVG/
I've also ordered these to try too www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004146400016.html
