Leather lifting chairs

My elderly mother has decided she wants one of those lifting armchairs, but she doesn't want a fabric one. The only leather chair I have found so far is just under £2000 !
Has anyone seen a cheaper option anywhere, I'm having trouble tracking one down?

I saw one for just under £300 in a flyer earlier will try hunt it out as looking for one for my nan who has had knee replacement I'll get back to you

I bought a second hand o e in eBay for about £120, so worth a look?

The trouble with leather is it may be slippy and she may slide when the lift / recline action is moving. That is why they are usually fabric. I would have though a leather one may be quite unsafe for this reason. Is she able to stand unaided from an armchair ?
A social services Occupation Therapist or independent living centre can give advice without trying to sell an expensive chair. Lots of people buy completely unsuitable riser chairs for a lot of money.

Gumtree is good too if you do go down leather route. But I'd stick with the post on occi health. There the best to speak to.

Don't get one
If a chair does the work eventually the person will not be able to get up unaided
It is a very unnatural way to get up and the person loses their centre of gravity- believing they are upright when in fact they are leaning back, at work we call this retropulsed
I can spot people with raise/recliners a mile away
I work as an OT and unless this is an absolute last resort don't do it
Get a manual recliner for comfort and stand up using your own muscles

Aladdin, I've been trying to persuade her not to get one. She can still get up from her arm chair, but she is rather lazy! Her over friendly and "helpful" neighbour has put the idea in her head, and of course she listens to him over anyone else.
She wants leather as she hates upholstery fabric, I also thinks its because of some slight incontinence issues.
Time to have a serious chat I think!

And they don't bloody help anyway - seem to raise the person up with their weight totally in wrong relationship to their feet .
And then how do they sit down ?
