oldest starts full time school in September- only one problem

i also have twin daughters of 16 months and find it impossible to get out of the house before 10.00 am.

All 3 kids sleep through the night and all need 12-13 hrs sleep. Bedtime is 7.30, so they normally wake up about 8ish, i cant get them down any earlier so i have no idea how i am going to be out the house by 8.30.
also my DS, the one starting school will not eat breakfast untill he has been awake an hour (like me)and i bath him in the mornings as oppose to evening as he sleeps hot and sweats buckets through the night.
Any suggestions

I'm just so impressed that your kids sleep 12/13 hours - mine go to bed 7.30ish and sleep till 6 - aaaargh. Well I can now console myself that when DS1 starts reception in September we'll have no problem getting to school on time. House will still be a tip though

i know i am very lucky, all 3 of them have always been fantastic sleepers

dd2 nearly always takes her breakfast in the buggy. i also find that i have to consciously prioritise. everytime i start doing something i ask myself if it is really necessary. putting a load of wasing on and putting my own make-up on is tempting but makes no contribution to getting there on time. brushing dds hair can always be done in the playground. putting shoes on is generally considered necessary

Hi Tiff! When I had my first, I was often not even dressed by lunchtime. When I had no. 2, no. 1 was at nursery school and we managed 0820 start every morning. I know twins must be harder, but it did sort of just work. DD1 is also a "sweaty sleeper" and had a shower with me in the morning (and a bath at night) which she loved.

Take DS1 to school and give DTs brekkie when you come back. That's what I did, much better, more relaxed...
