i also have twin daughters of 16 months and find it impossible to get out of the house before 10.00 am.

All 3 kids sleep through the night and all need 12-13 hrs sleep. Bedtime is 7.30, so they normally wake up about 8ish, i cant get them down any earlier so i have no idea how i am going to be out the house by 8.30.
also my DS, the one starting school will not eat breakfast untill he has been awake an hour (like me)and i bath him in the mornings as oppose to evening as he sleeps hot and sweats buckets through the night.
Any suggestions
TIA

I'm just so impressed that your kids sleep 12/13 hours - mine go to bed 7.30ish and sleep till 6 - aaaargh. Well I can now console myself that when DS1 starts reception in September we'll have no problem getting to school on time. House will still be a tip though

i know i am very lucky, all 3 of them have always been fantastic sleepers

dd2 nearly always takes her breakfast in the buggy. i also find that i have to consciously prioritise. everytime i start doing something i ask myself if it is really necessary. putting a load of wasing on and putting my own make-up on is tempting but makes no contribution to getting there on time. brushing dds hair can always be done in the playground. putting shoes on is generally considered necessary

Hi Tiff! When I had my first, I was often not even dressed by lunchtime. When I had no. 2, no. 1 was at nursery school and we managed 0820 start every morning. I know twins must be harder, but it did sort of just work. DD1 is also a "sweaty sleeper" and had a shower with me in the morning (and a bath at night) which she loved.

Take DS1 to school and give DTs brekkie when you come back. That's what I did, much better, more relaxed...
