DO NURSERY TEACHERS GET A PRESENT FOR BREAKING UP 1/2 TERM?

Might seem a daft question but I'm not familiar with the school system/ettiquette (sp) in the UK.

DD started nursery a few weeks ago and it's already breaking up for 1/2 term. Do kids give teacher a present for 1/2 term or only for summer/end of year and Christmas?

Any advice/recommendations very welcome

My friend works in a nursery school and only really got presents for xmas and the summer (oh and her birthday too)!

Hausfrau... I don't think so. As far as my hazy memories are reliable die Erzieherin only gets something for Christmas, maybe Easter (depending whether you're in a very catholic area ;) ) and end of year (probably to say... thanks for looking for my little one and PLEASE take them back after the hols )

I do Xmas only for nursery.

Christmas & summer at our primary school.
When ds was at nursery the same applied.
