Nursery giving me soiled sheets to wash

What's the norm with nursery's bedding? Our DC's nursery provides their own bedding for naps. DC soiled the bedding (only a wee) and the nursery gave me their bedding to wash. I have washed it but wanted to know is this normal? Should they wash their own bedding?

My DC’s nursery have always washed the bedding themselves, even with accidents like that. They only give me soiled clothing to wash.

Do they have laundry facilities?
I have worked in a nursery where they had a washer and a dryer and laundered everything.
I have worked in a preschool setting where the manager would make staff take the laundry home. She ordered me to take home a sofa throw covered in diarrhoea.

I would imagine if you have to provide bedding this would be normal. If nothing else it removes any liability from them if anything got lost or damaged, apart from the fact that it would add to their laundry costs. If they provided bedding you would expect them to wash.

I’ve never heard of this. Talk about cost cutting.. I’d be speechless. But my kids are older primary, maybe things have changed.

Not normal here. Ours bag up and send home their own soiled clothes only - dd has some health issues and once did a massive wee in her shoes - they washed and dried them ready for pick up time, which was v unexpected!

If its their own bedding they should be washing it. If its yours that is different and I'd expect them to give it to you.

All I can think of is that they don't have laundaey facilities but this would have been made clear when you signed up. OR she is the only baby who uses that cot, and therefore the sheets and they want to make sure they're washed in something you approve of.

my guess, though, is that they do laundry facilities and want to get out of a job - not on.
