I’m hoping to hear from anyone with experience of having a child with SEN and/or an EHCP currently attending HPS.
Do you also live within the same borough as the school (Kensington & Chelsea), or did your Local Authority agree to the placement from outside the borough? I’d really appreciate hearing how that process went for you.
My daughter is very drawn to the school, particularly because of the art aptitude programme. However, as she has an EHCP, she isn’t able to apply through the aptitude route. Is there any benefit for the student in doing so, or any way this interest can still be taken into account?
What are your negatives with the school?

Since HP is not a wholly independent school, if it is your preference, your LA must name it unless your LA can prove:
-The setting is unsuitable for the age, ability, aptitude or special educational needs of the child or young person; or
-The attendance of the child or young person would be incompatible with the provision of efficient education for others; or
-The attendance of the child or young person would be incompatible with the efficient use of resources.

This is why DD doesn’t need to go through the normal admissions aptitude process.

That still applies, even if you are in a different area to the school.
