Moving county after school application

Hey, I am looking for some advice please - we live in our current home in one county and I have applied for my eldest's primary school and the deadline has now obviously passed.
Since then our circumstances are changing and we are moving to another county - how do I move his school application at this stage? Do I need to contact my local council or the new council for the county we are moving to for advice? Thank you

Do you have an address you are moving to in the new county?

@catndogslife have an offer in and mortgage in principle on a house

The short answer is you don't. At this stage, all you can do is make a new application from your new address as soon as your new LA will allow - some won't accept your new address until you've moved in, but some will accept it from exchange of contracts. This will be a late application. That means it is likely that you will initially be offered an unpopular school which could be some distance from your new home. However, you may be able to get a better place through the waiting list. The fact you are a late applicant won't affect your position on the waiting list.

It's too early to do anything about a new application if that's the case. Exchange of contracts is the earliest stage that councils tend to consider for a school application.
