secondary schools in kingston

Hi,
we have recently moved to kingston ( in search of better schools) for our 3 kids. The wait for our preffered schools seems to be never ending :( it's been half a term already with kids sitting at home! how long do waiting periods generally last? any feedback for chessington school? any school suggestions for both kingston and richmond borough where chances of getting in are more? any insight is highly appreciated. Thank you

It's been through a rough patch recently, with a dip in its results, but its latest inspection report says the issues are being addressed, so they still got a 'Good' rating. They recently got a new Head.

Both Hampton High and Chessington (I think) feed into Esher College for A levels because they don't have a sixth form.
You could test out both journeys this week.
