First day back to school, and my son, aged 10 has came out of school saying that at the end of the day, he was struggling to get his work done and rushed through work to get it done. When he handed it in, the teacher said he made an error and he better fix it now or she will read it out. I was a bit shocked at that and asked further if this is what she does... supposedly, this is what she does, and she then read out some other boys' work who was really embarrassed and asked her not to. I'm a bit upset about this and wondering if I should make a phone call. He only gets this teacher on Mondays and Tuesdays, but I have actually spoken to this teacher at parents night worry that my son may be going under the radar for dyslexia... I have mentioned this to previous teachers before. In conclusion, they always tell me that it's his confidence. I don't want this teacher to make him feel even less confident or so anxious about getting something wrong. Should I call the school.. I'm worried that I will be classified as a "snowflake" mum and do understand that this teacher may have a reason before this.
