Positive or negative feedback from Dulwich prep London DPL?

Hi. Any help will be much appreciated. Anyone who has good/ bad experience with DPL, we are planning to send DS from nursery. Recently found their percentage of SEND is rather high 20%. Would be a concern or I may worry too much? It seems that they are a little laid back about academics ( eg, science for specialist teacher only start from Year 5, French only start from year 1) as many prep schools start earlier than them. Also no after school clubs for nursery to Year 1. But with Many options from Y3 only. Thank you.

I know people very happy there (all in reception/ Y1).

It is known as being less academic because so many of the parents have jt as a second choice for kids who don't make the grade for Alleyne's / are aiming at DC so go for Ducks. But that's no bad thing if it suits the children there.

They've extended to GCSEs now, but I'd be thinking in advance what happens then.

In that neck of the woods I was also really impressed with Oakfield. But that's only till Y6 so you have 11+ pressure.

we prefer to leave at 13+. Yes I do worry about the change , they may keep pupils until GCSE. Not try the best to prepare 13+

I’m not sure the specialist teachers is that unusual. I’ve got kids at LEH and Hampton preps and there definitely aren’t any science specialist teachers there and they seem to do ok! Although perhaps they should 😉. Only for French in higher years and Music!
