Hello,
I’d like to ask parents whose kids are going to this school about their experience.
As a European mum, who has never imposed any religion upon her son, I’m getting very concerned about the fact that the majority of the school is Muslim and they are “imposing” their religious beliefs upon other students by bringing the Quran to school for them to take home and read, telling them off if they eat pork (the school cafeteria doesn’t serve any pork or beef) and they are constantly talking about their god.
A teacher was fired last year because she complained to the students about the fact that they are constantly talking about their religion in school.
This is getting out of control and it shouldn’t be allowed.
is anyone else experiencing the same problem?

I would try to help....not having any experience with this school but in general if you find anything concerning you can try to contact the head teacher in writing.

Although it makes you uncomfortable for having students trying to preach their religion at school, if those students happen to be the less disruptive types, most likely the school will take no action, unless you are attending a Christian faith school.

About telling others off in lunch break for having non-halal compliance food, I am afraid it's not uncommon in many schools (including primary schools) whenever there's a sizable muslim student population. Some mild bullying / exclusion from friendship do happen from time to time because of food, the degree just varies between school to school, simply avoid bringing food that are offensive to their religion if you are worried. There is little you can do to change them.

About the teacher, I don't know anything first hand so I cannot comment.

I sound passive but that's how I heard from parents in those schools are coping. You may wish to change your title to make it a bit general and invite parents in a similar situation to join the discussion. Hope it helps.
