Open Uni or LIBF

I'm wanting to study a masters in Finance but needs to be remote as I'm a lone parent of 2.

Do I study with the OU in finance or LIBF in finance and accounting?

I know the OU has a good reputation but with LIBF being a uni specialising in banking and finance I didn't know it that was a better option?

What is your education background as that would inform my answer?

@Happymummydays

What plans to do you have for after you've completed your qualification, OP?

@WhatWillIWear thank you so much, that didn't occur to me, I will repost xx

@Bunnyannesummers I have an undergraduate degree in music (stupid decision at 17 years old).

Have since worked as an engineer for a lot of years (long story how I got into that haha), and I now work for a bank

@TheSquareMile I currently work for a bank and I've discovered a bit of an odd passion/obsession surrounding finance. I'm unsure if I want to go down the accounting route, or financial advice, or corporate finance... there's so much choice and not enough experience to make that decision which is why I'm leaning towards an MSc over short courses as I've then covered the bases and can then specialise.

Totally open to alternative routes/suggestions though xx

I found the OU very difficult to deal with and very poor value for money in terms of support and resources. I hear good things about them at undergrad but my PG experience was really poor and that was a couple of years ago now before the current crisis in universities really took hold - I personally wouldn't go with the OU unless you are happy doing the entire thing by yourself with little to no guidance and are confident there are good local university libraries you can access.
