Preschool choice help

Just looking some reassurance/advice please. Our eldest is currently at a Montessori/Reggio pre school, beautiful environment, great selection of toys/materials/activities and they go the extra mile preparing the kids for primary school (teaching to read and write). The only problem is, the teachers attitude (they’re very controlling, manipulative, grouping certain kids together, and when I raised issues about our son being hit regularly by another child they dismissed it and blamed our son instead….then when on to say how disruptive he was in class etc. (i know this isn’t true as we’ve had slt/ot visit and other staff members saying he’s an angel) anyway on occasion hes fell or whatever and injured himself and they never mention it to us.

our youngest son we’ve put down for another preschool (closer to the primary) , we had our visit tonight and if I’m honest I got upset at how disadvantaged the school is. For almost 30 mins they talked about how underfunded they are and how they can’t afford any wooden/new toys. I almost feel like I’m doing our youngest a disservice putting him there. We selected it as it has more staff per child and is close to the primary school, it also got good reviews locally despite the lack of funding.

I could technically defer him, but I’m not sure where to put him still. Should I put aside my feelings with the teacher of our eldest sons preschool, to allow our youngest a chance in a better funded environment? I’m not sure that’s the answer, but I do feel guilt.

I’d be asking to speak to the manager of your eldest preschools and expressing concerns about the staff member you’ve had issues with… raise a formal complaint if necessary?….
the other option is to send to the other one and do some fund raising etc to raise funds for the preschool… lots of supermarkets do tokens and donate money to preschools … you could nominate the underfunded school

@T1Dmama I would raise it only the manager is the teachers mum. There's no one else to go to either as it's family run and owned by them. The other preschool...I dunno the staff just seemed so frustrated/depressed almost. I worry its not the best environment either.
