Bullying during GCSE’s

My daughter is being bullied (in school & via social media), she’s in the middle of her GCSE’s and it’s affecting her mental health and ability to study. I want her to only attend school for exams for the rest of the term (9 more school days) & study/revise at home. Does anyone have any experience of doing this or know how I should approach this with her school?

Just tell them, I am sure they will be accommodating. Worst case it will be an unauthorised absence, with no consequence.

I agree with the other poster. Pull her out of lessons now, just go in for exams. Let the school know exactly what is happening. Also, can you monitor her SM, delete apps or whatever? Avoid the bullies at all costs. Will she be leaving the school after GCSEs?

Tell school this is what you want to do and why.

I am sure they will accommodate, what would be the point of not?

Just tell them. They can put it down as study leave. Sometimes you need to be assertive and this sounds like one of those times. Has she got a different plan in place for sixth form/ college?

Thank you everyone. I informed school she would only be going in for exams and they’ve marked her as on study leave for the last few days until she’s finished. She’s hoping to go to college this September and is looking forward to a fresh start.
