Online Schools reviews

DD is in year 10, she has had lots of issues with friendships all the way through. She struggles to retain friendships, she is very young minded, currently under CAMHS doing one to one therapy, possible ASD, she has regular panic attacks at school and had issued with eating so as you cam imagine there is a lot going on for her.
The most recent issue at school is, who she thought was her friend, dumped her when someone better came along (story of her life unfortunately)

She is miserable and does not want to return to school. Moving her schools isn't really an option as, 1 I think she will struggle to get a place in year 10 anyway, 2 all the other schools near us are huge schools like hers, and the school she is in is actually very very good, they are trying to help her l, she is under the senco, but they can't force other kids to be friends with her.

I just wanted to get people's opinions and reviews on places like Kings Interhigh, especially those who removed their children from mainstream school for similar reasons.

Just a hopeful bump

My dd had similar issues, King’s InterHigh was a godsend. She would not been able to sit GCSEs in her mainstream school and managed excellent results after 2 years there. She is now back in a physical 6th form.
Have a look at the parent pages on Facebook, generally very positive reviews.

My DD tried Kings inter high for a levels.

She was very anxious at the time, and didn't speak in lessons. Because she wasn't speaking and also because I wasn't at home she lasted about a month on her own before skipping lessons and getting behind.

She took a year out to fix her mental health and then tried in person education again.

Thank you both. I am so torn!
It would be a bit of a struggle financially(we have a lot of debt from a company we owned during COVID) but I just want my DD to be happy.

I think she would be ok in getting her lessons done but I just worry that it will insulate her even more.
I know this sounds like a silly question but do the students ever meet up?

Are the lessons as school times 9-3 or something similar?

There are a lot of parent WhatsApp groups and meet ups organised that way as well as school trips and residentials.
Lessons are from 8.30-4.

My DS is in Year 7 and has ASD - struggling with friendships.

He managed Juniors fine but it’s tough as he’s getting older.

☹️

Following incase this is something we would need to do with him.

It's great to know they do meet ups as I was slightly concerned I would be isolating her even further.
We are currently speaking with her currrent school to make some allowances to help her but I really don't think I am going to get her through year 11.
