and I've been lucky with the DS's school that we usually get a reasonable amount of time - but they've broken all their records today.

Have a letter informing us of a planned trip to Woburn Safari Park for the YR2's on the 24th June!!! They're letting us know "quite" early as it's a bit more expensive than most of the trips they go on........£15 (which actually I think is very reasonable for coach and entry to Woburn Safari park)

I'm impressed

Nice trip. Our school is good about giving us advance notice as well. My DC get to go on great trips.

Our school usually gives 1-2 weeks notice for any trips/activities costing say £5 or less, more for more expensive ones.

When our Year 6 was taken to London for the day to go on a river cruise and on the London Eye, we got 6 months notice. It only cost £18 but we got a letter first canvassing opinions and how many people were likely to go, then we had about 4 months to pay up.

For the Yr6 residential trip we get 11 months notice and have to pay within 8 months.

Our school usually gives about 24/48 hours notice!
Woburn is great, I was there about 6/7 years ago. I fancy going to that place that is on Animal park (can't remember what it's called)
