Has any kind MNer got any spare ORT books they no longer need?

I lent a load of our old ones to a friend for her ds about 18 months ago, and she's lost them in her house move, grrr.

I'm slightly reeling from seeing how expensive they are new, so wondered if anyone had any old ones they no longer needed and wouldn't mind passing on to us? It's Stage 4 and Stage 5 particularly that went awol -- the red and yellow ones.

I'm more than happy to pay postage and reasonable expenses, just can't face forking out full whack for brand new ones just for one child. I'll recycle them to other MNers once we've finished with them!

Thanks [hopeful emoticon]

if you don't get any then try e-bay, my mum got some on there for ds1 (can't pass on as i have lent them to a friend - hope we get them back for ds2!).

I've only got the read at home ORT books 1-4 but you're welcome to have them if that's any good? (4 here, says can recognise 30-50 words by sight)

Ebay is a good idea. I don't usually get books from there as the postage is extortionate, but the ORT books are pretty light.

Ingles, not sure what the Read At Home books are -- are they different from the mainstream ones?

I've just ordered a set from School Link catalogue. £9.99 for 13 books.
Try www.schoollink.co.uk

LyraSilvertongue · 10/03/2008 21:20

The ones I've ordered are Read At Home.

frogs · 10/03/2008 21:25

Thanks for that link, Lyra, I'll look into that.

Ingles, that level sounds about right -- are the books heavy or are they like normal ORT books? Do they correspond to normal ORT levels?

If they're light and you have time to go to the post office, then I'd love to have them. Shall I cat you?
