I am trying to help a woman whose son has been removed from the roll of DS's school against her wishes. It's quite complicated, and I'm going to need to talk to the school/LA on her behalf. I have a letter which I drafted, and which she's signed, which says that I am acting as her independent representative and that the school/LA have her permission to discuss any matters pertinent to his case with me.

Is this enough, do you think? Time is of the essence so any replies would be v gratefully received..

Does her child have special educational needs? If so, IPSEA are very good.

Has he been excluded? If so, has she appealed?

No Bubble, he was temporarily removed by his mother because of her ill health and a DV issue - she went to stay with her family and he was enrolled temporarily at a local school.

Bluestocking - no, he doesn't, and seems to be slipping through every net...
