Do schools receive ks1 scores?

I’ve received my DD’s KS1 SATs grades today and I’m a bit surprised as they’re lower than she got in the mock SATs they did earlier in the year.

I asked the school for her numerical scores and was told that these aren’t reported, is this right? Do the schools only get the overall grade (meeting expectations, greater depths etc) and not the individual scores?

Not looking to kick up a huge fuss but would like to have the information if it’s out there! There was a thread on here the other day about KS2 results and it talked about the individual scores but maybe it’s different at KS1?

Ok, showing my ignorance here, I’ve done a bit of Googling and worked out the tests are actually marked internally! So they should definitely have the scores.

I’ve read the STA guidance and it seems they should send me the scaled scores if I ask them? Is that not right?

And yes I know it’s just performance in one test on one day and that it isn’t the be all and end all but it would be helpful to know.

Scores aren't reported, just the met/not met/exceeding. Schools however will have the scores, they are not required to provide you with them automatically but you can ask. However, the met/not met etc is not just based on the test scores but on work in class too. So if you have a bad day and don't meet the 100 scaled score mark you can still be assessed as expected if this is the normal level of working. Similarly, someone with 100 might be assessed as working towards if it was a complete fluke and they guessed all the answers!

Yes I do appreciate that it’s just a snapshot of performance but I would still like the scores.
