Funding

My child is in a sen school, it is a new school and caters for complex needs children at the moment they have no playground equipment as in swings, slides, trim trail etc.
From what we can tell this is going to be an extremely costly project and we as parents would take years to raise £150k.
Does anyone know where or who we can approach for help funding this sort of project? The children at this school desperately need this playground equipment, it helps meet their sensory needs most importantly.
We have been told the department of education no longer provides funding to new schools for playground equipment which seems crazy especially in a complex needs school that has a high number of autistic children attending.
Any ideas welcome thank you

There may be a volunteers organisation locally, a charity with council funding which coordinates local voluntary organisations, who can advise and provide information on grant funding. A lot of charity grants are small but if you are near a landfill, industrial site like a quarry, airport etc they often have schemes to fund larger community projects. There are organisations which specifically support green projects if that can be embedded in your scheme (use of recycled materials in the construction, biodiversity etc). Some of the suppliers will match fund whatever you can raise so do ask them about that and they may run webinars to explain how it works. Our county council also has a community fund available to which you can apply by demonstrating community need and support (anything up to £100k+), so worth looking on their website as it may also give you other ideas to pursue,
